About the Beer Barons
About Us
Once upon a time in a small town in the greatest state in the USA, four men found each other. After three years of shenanigans, drunk rants, and lots and lots of women these four good looking gentlemen decided to live together in a hip neighborhood in DC. One day after work and many overpriced beers at the Saloon on U Street we decided that instead of just paying for good beer and making the rotten mistake of just drinking it without savoring what that pretty penny just bought us we should put our taste buds and livers to the test. Overnight we became the beer barons, a onslaught of hard working professionals on the quest to find our holy grail of beer.
Chris
This baron of beer is probably the most qualified of all the beer barons. In his free time he brews his own beer. He a state-of-the-art brewery in our lovely basement and has spent many hours along side of some of the finest brewers in Maryland. Beer is his dream, his future, his fantasy.
Dan – a.k.a. DMF
Dan met Stuart in his last year of his pHD program. Little did Dan and Stu know that they lived less than a block away from each other and instantly became friends over a few pints of Timor’s finest. Dan has been buying beer and reviewing it for years on his own blog and is probably the second most qualified baron of the bunch. His dog Murphy could probably kick your dog’s ass.
Dmvstu – a.k.a. Stu
This hard working gentleman spends his hours tirelessly chipping away at a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is smarter than the average bear, although its hard to tell. He has had two years of dedication to finding what’s good on the shelf.
Tony
This gent is the reason we have a website. He took the initiative to start this “blog” and took time out of his busy work day to make sure we have the illustrious name beerbarons.wordpress.com, though I am sure his boss wouldn’t be happy. Tony is the man to know if you want tight jeans, awesome sneakers, and yes a mouthful of the finest beer money can buy.
Drewbrew
This baron is still trying to come out of his shell. His shy quiet behavior makes it hard for him to step out onto the blog scene; he doesn’t want to seem pretentious. Drewbrew can pound a beer faster than you can say baron, but enjoys the fine brews and doesn’t let money get in the way.
FAQ
Did you get your name from the Simpsons?
Good question. Yes.
Why don’t you rate beer?
Rating beers is like rating dad’s, everyone is going to say theirs is the best. At beerbarons.wordpress.com we like to keep our minds and our livers open. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck on one beer or having one beer being rated the best and having readers complain that we rated something wrong. Beers come and go but legends never die.
Can I become a beer baron?
Yes you can! Simply leave a comment after ours and feel free to tell us that we are wrong or give your own two cents on the beer, we love that.
